IsMe Beauty & Café @ Jalan Walter Grenier, Bukit Bintang

There are plenty of concept and theme café sprouting out from everywhere – in other words, I have plenty of places to hang out and hunt for good food~~~~ I’m indeed fortunate to have the opportunity for food tasting in Malaysia’s 1^st beauty café.

IsMe Beauty & Café

Located just right behind Lot 10, and right next to Hotel Royal Kuala Lumpur (probably can park and walk from Lot 10 for about 2-3 minutes), this café was hardly spot on. However, there will be new outlet opening really soon in Bangsar South and Nu Sentral. 

The overall ambiance and environment of this café was totally awesome – light timber flooring and vibrant blue comfortable cushioned seats (let the picture speak for themselves) .over and above that, the café is very well insulated from the outside noise whereby you can sit and drink coffee for hours.

At the end of the restaurant, there’s a beauty parlor. (P.S. – there will not be any facial or treatment available for now).

IsMe carries Cuscos range of skin care products from Korea and all of its products are infused with diamond powder of Swarovski Zirconia.

To be honest, there really isn’t much to choose from in their menu, but what make IsMe stands out from most of the cafés? – All food served here are less than 400 calories per dish.

 IsMe Signature [RM13]

The IsMe Signature coffee was lightly sweet – blend of four coffee beans. In fact, it was mild, smooth and served at perfect temperature.

 Caffé Mocha [RM13]

Smooth and milky rich coffee - equally good!!!!

Gynostemma Herb Tea [RM12]

This tea taste weird for me and had a bittersweet aftertaste (maybe kinda too much of tea leaves). However, from health benefit point of view, this tea is helpful for digestion and it’s great to drink after a large meal.

Bread Stick with Tuna and Fresh Salad [RM15.90]

Despite from being common, I found that it was pretty addictive – the tuna had just right amount of seasoning, flavorful and best to eat with the crunchy bread stick. Moreover, the salad was fresh and only organic vege are used.

Creamy Mushroom Spaghetti [RM20.90]

Despite saying creamy, I felt that it was a little too watery and the spaghetti was overcooked too. However, this dish was light and great for those who prefer less creamy and light lunch.

Chicken Bolognese Spaghetti [RM20.90]

The spaghetti was overcooked too. This one however was little more flavorful compared to Creamy Mushroom Spaghetti.

 Tiramisu [RM12.90]

This was an ordinary Tiramisu but with a dose of brandy in it. Yes, BRANDY!!!!! Great flavor, texture and I would definitely recommend this to all of you!!!

Mille Crepe [RM12.90]

I’m kinda disappointing (slightly too dry) with this crepe as I had pretty high expectation for this.

 Cheesecake [RM12.90]

This cheesecake really exceeds my expectations – smooth and creamy on the top while crunchy at the bottom. One of the best sellers here!!!

Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream [RM12.90]

I always had high expectation when comes to chocolate brownie. And of course, this chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream delivered. The brownie itself was lightly crisp on the outside and moist inside – one of my favorite of the night. PS: the brownie does not have those oily or plastic chocolate tastes~~~

Overall Rating: 6.5/10. I did pretty enjoy the food and the environment in IsMe Beauty & Café. In fact, the food here was healthy (less than 400 calories per dish) and no doubt pretty interesting concept. Last but not least, the prices are reasonable too!!!
