Brasaria – The Peruvian Charcoal Chicken @ Jaya One, PJ

Bored of usual roasted chicken? Let’s try something different – Peruvian perhaps? Being a fan of chicken, you got to try this Peruvian Charcoal Chicken!!!



Located at Jaya One, Brasaria offers a variety of mouthwatering food, which the menu is Peruvian inspired with charcoal roasted chicken being the highlight. Since I’m a fan of everything-chicken, I only had eyes for their highlight – charcoal chicken.

Let’s starts with……..


Agua Fresca [RM4] – made fresh daily with real watermelon. Great to drink the refreshing blend of watermelon concoctions during hot weather!!!

Half Chicken Platter [RM27.60] – the charcoal slow-roasted chicken came with Aji Sauce (in mild or hot) and BBQ Peruano Sauce (basically BBQ sauce with stronger vinegar and herbs taste). The chicken meat was nicely marinated, juicy and flavorsome. I would highly recommend to slathered the chicken in some Aji Sauce to enhance the chicken flavor. The platter also included 2 side dishes – Peruvian Yellow Rice with Raisins and Salchipapas (fires and frankfurters). Basically for smaller-eaters, you can order Quarter Chicken Platter [RM17.90], and Whole Chicken Platter [RM60.90] for sharing.*P.S. – you can choose other side dishes from the menu and add on RM3 for swapping the green salad with the sides*

 Latin Trio [RM5] – grilled sweet potato, pineapple and plantain
Elote [RM5] – grilled corned with Aji Mild Sauce, sprinkled with hint of chili powder and cheese
Peas Saltado [RM5] – combination of stir fried snow peas and black eyed peas.

The Chicken Pie [RM13.90] – crisp puff pastry tucked with a decent amount of roasted chicken fillings and dripped with Aji Mild Sauce.

Pesto Pasta [not in their menu yet] – the spaghetti was done al dente, tossed in pesto sauce and topped with slices of roast chicken. Honestly speaking, I quite like it.





Overall Opinion: Honestly speaking, I’m a fan of chicken and I really enjoy their roasted chicken. If you’re a fan of everything-chicken or Nando’s, you gonna give it a try and I’m sure you won’t regret it. Thank you Brasaria for having me!!
